Music has an important role to play in education! At these camps, students ages 6–12 will creatively explore worthwhile topics through songs, movement, storytelling, crafting, and discussion. You may reserve a spot with a $15 deposit.
Camps are held 1–5pm Monday through Friday at Vinyard Community Church in Overland Park from July 6 to 31st. Camps are led by music teacher Kimmi Fodor and art teacher Emily Light. Enrollment will be $75 per student for the first camp and $60 for each additional camp.
We are currently gathering interest and availability from students who wish to participate. Enrollment opens June 15th!
Camp Themes Available:
Here We Grow — growth mindset, motivation, and habits
Creative Sparks — creative process, imagination, and artistic identity
Storybook Theater — prepare a short musical based on a beloved story with music, acting, and dance
Inner Harmony — self-regulation, meditation, mindfulness, and movement
Friendship Garden — communication skills, teamwork, and emotional intelligence
Musical Me — music theory, instrument skills, and songwriting
Flower Folk — nature, nutrition, and self-care
Camps are designed to feel calm, imaginative, collaborative, and beginner-friendly. No musical experience is required, and students are welcome to bring instruments if they have them. Each camp will have a maximum of 12 students.
Each 4-hour camp begins at 1:00 and includes:
• thematic songs and movement activities
• art and craft projects
• creative flow session
• storytelling and reflective discussion
• end-of-day musical sharing during parent pickup at 4:45
This $15 reservation fee holds your child’s place while we gather community interest and finalize the schedule based on availability, theme interest, and desired number of camp days. If your child does not attend a camp, your deposit will be refunded. If they do attend, your deposit will be applied towards tuition.
